Today’s terrain was significantly different fro the last week. We were out of the mountains and out on the plains. The vast majority of the farms appeared to be livestock. Mostly cattle but we saw a good number of sheep at one farm. Michele and Rob wondered how long it would take to sheer all those sheep.
We stopped in Medicine Hat for lunch. The temps after lunch had risen to the upper 60s but the clouds were increasing as was the wind.
As we continued east, the wind picked up. Fortunately the wind was coming out of the Northwest and mostly pushing us down the rode. This was a far better situation than when were last on TC 1 back in 2015. Then we were heading west into the wind.
As we got closer to Moose Jaw, we began to see small rolling hills and rode past two large lakes with plenty of birds.
Tomorrow we leave Canada as we continue our march east.
